We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Emily Gorman, a beloved mother, daughter, and grandmother. Emily Gorman was a 59-year-old resident of Nashville, TN and a die-hard country music fan.
Emily was born in Knoxville, TN to Willa and Jeff Gorman and moved to Nashville in her late teens. She was a high school and college track athlete, competing in both the 1600m and 3200m races. She was a faithful and vibrant fervent of Nashville’s music scene as she was also a singer, songwriter, and guitarist.
Emily is survived by her two children, Kelsey and Roy Gorman; her grandson, Oliver Gorman; her brothers, Carson and Edward Gorman and her sister, Rachel Johnson. Additionally, her generous heart touched the lives of countless friends and colleagues across the world.
Emily will be remembered for her selflessness and the wisdom she shared with others. She was an invigorating presence who inspired a unique joy wherever she went.
She leaves a legacy of strength, optimism and generosity that will be cherished by friends and family alike.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dearly beloved Emily Gorman on November 3, 2020.
Emily, aged 22, was born in Los Angeles, California to John and Annabelle Gorman and was the eldest of three siblings. She excelled in school and was awarded a full scholarship to attend college, where she majored in business studies and graduated at the top of her class.
Emily was a bright and ambitious young woman with a strong sense of justice and advocacy for those in need. She was passionate about volunteering and was actively involved with several charities where she touched the lives of thousands of people. During her free time, Emily enjoyed reading, spending time with family, and taking long walks through the city.
Although her time with us was too short, Emily will forever be remembered for her courage, inspiring spirit, and her limitless capacity to love. She inspired those around her to love their life fully and gave courage to many in need. Emily will be deeply missed by family and friends alike.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to be made in Emily’s name to advocate for the causes she held dear.
A memorial service for Emily will be held on November 13, 2020 at St. Megan’s Church in Los Angeles.
