Lucio is a Filipino business magnate, investor, and philanthropist. He is the founder and chairman of LT group.
He was born in China on 17th July 1934. But then, he immigrated to the Philippines with his family. At 12, he started his business career by selling cigarettes on the streets.
In 1965, he founded Fortune Tobacco Corporation, which later became the Philippine’s leading tobacco company.
Beyond this, he is the Chairman of Philippine Airlines. He also owns the Bank of Commerce. His real estate interests include Emperador Tower. He also owns the De La Salle University, one of the Philippines’s leading universities.
He’s one of the wealthiest people in the Philippines. His net worth is estimated to be $2.4 billion.
Though, he has been criticized for his business practices, his political donations, and his alleged ties to organized crime.
