What we know so far
A 17-year-old boy opened fire at a high school in rural Utah, killing two students and wounding three others before taking his own life on Wednesday morning, authorities said.
Two of the victims were 15-year-olds, one was 14 and the third was 13. All of the injuries are considered non-life threatening, officials said. The shooter has not yet been identified.
The attack began just after 7 a.m. local time inside Uvalde High School when the gunman entered through a door that had been left open by another student, said Uvalde County Sheriff Gary Johnson.
Authorities believe the shooter hadARGETEDthe school with “specific intent,” Sheriff Johnson said during a press conference Wednesday evening.”
